As I looked at him, I felt a deep emotion
for in his soul, I guessed a secret pain,
and sitting close beside him, I spoke,
and then he made this cruel confession.
Pay attention, my friend.

You know it’s a man’s condition to suffer…
The woman I loved with all my heart
has left with a man who knew how to seduce her,
and though she took my joy with her when she left,
I never want to see her again… May she be happy
with the man who has her for his good… or whatever.
